| Configuring the Update Field Concatenations Workflow Action on Orchestrations |
Overview
A new “Update Field Concatenation(s)” option recalculates concatenated fields and automatically updates object names (e.g., case, incident, activity, etc.) with the latest values.
User Account Requirements
The user account you use to log into Resolver must have Administrator permission to create an Orchestrated event.
Navigation
- From the Home screen, click on the Administration icon.

- From the Administrator Settings menu, click Admin Overview.

- From the Admin Overview screen, click on the Object Types tile under the Data Model section.

- From the Admin Object Types screen, enter an Object Type Name in the Search field to narrow the search results.

- Click on an Object Type.

- From the Edit Object screen, click the Configure Workflow button on the Workflow tab.

- If more than one Workflow is set up for the Object Type, click the desired Workflow from the list.

- From the Edit Workflow screen, click the Trigger link under the State you want to add a Trigger to or click the + Add Trigger to add a new trigger.

Configuring the Update Field Concatenations Workflow Action on Orchestrations
- From the Edit Triggers screen, add a Send Orchestrated Event trigger. For more information, please refer to the Adding an Orchestrated Event Action on a Transition article.
- Once the Send Orchestrated Event trigger is added you must select the same trigger again and add the Update Field Concatenations action to the Transition. For more information, please refer to the Adding an Update Field Concatenation article.
- Once the Update Field Concatenation action is added to the Send Orchestrated Event trigger, you must add the Consume Orchestrated Event trigger. For more Information, please refer to the Creating a Consume Orchestrated Events Trigger article.
- After completing the steps in the three linked articles above you will have successfully configured the Update Field Concatenations workflow action on an Orchestrated event.
