Overview

Within a relationship on an object type, a new section called Connection Limits will appear, allowing Administrators to set the maximum number of connections per record (connection limits). With the addition of this section Administrators no longer need to use Swagger API to manage connection limits. 

User Account Requirements

The user must have Administrator or to edit or delete object type relationships.

Navigation

1. From the Home screen, click the Administration icon.

2. From the Administrator Settings menu, click Admin Overview.

3. From the Admin Overview screen, click the Object Types tile under the Data Model section.

4. From the Object Types screen, enter a keyword in the Search field to narrow the object types list.

5. Click an Object Type.

6. From the Edit Object Type screen, click the Relationships tab.

Configuring the Maximum Number of Connections Per Record on a Relationship

Users can configure the maximum number of connections per record on a relationship by either editing an existing relationship or by creating a new relationship. For this example, we will be editing a relationship, though the process is similar regardless of how you approach it. 

1. From the Relationship tab, click on a Relationship.

2.  From the Edit Relationship pop-up, scroll to the Connection Limit section.

3. Click the Set a maximum connection limit per record toggle switch to enable the feature. The Feature allows Admins to update the maximum number of relationship objects that can be selected on an object.

4. Enter the maximum number of relationship objects that can be selected on an object in the Max connections per record field.

5. A system-generated notification will appear within configurable forms on the Edit Component Display screen, showing the number of connections allowed.
