Overview
Once a Field or Formula Name has been updated an Administrator or Data Management advanced permissions user can republish a Dashboard Data Set to reflect the name change in any Dashboard using the Dataset.
User Account Requirements
The user account you use to log into Resolver must have Administrator permission or Data Management advanced permissions to access a Dashboard Data Set.
Navigation
- From the Home screen, click the Administration icon.

- From the Administration Settings menu, click the Admin Overview link.

- From the Admin Overview screen, click the Object Types tile under the Data Model section.

- From the Admin: Object Types screen, enter an Object Type name in the search field to narrow the search results. The Object Type name must be connected to the field or formula that you want to edit.

Updating a Field or Formula Name
For this example, we will be updating a field name. Updating a formula name is a similar process except for clicking on a formula on the Formula tab as opposed to clicking on a field on the Fields tab.
- From the Admin: Edit Object Type screen, scroll to the Overview tab.

- Click on the Fields tab.

- Locate the Field that you want to change.
- Click the Field.

- From the Edit Field pop-up, click the Field Name field and enter the new field name. For the change to take place the user must republish the Data Set for the change to be reflected within any connected Dashboards.

Republishing a Data Set
- From the Admin Overview screen, click the Dashboard Data Set tile under the Views section.

- From the Admin: Dashboard Data Set screen, enter a Data Set name in the Search field to narrow the search results.

- Click on a published Data Set.

- From the Admin: Edit Data Set screen, scroll to the Fields tab and look to see that the field name has changed (e.g., Severity to Severity Level).

- Scroll to the top of the screen.
- Click the Publish Changes button to change the field name on any connected Dashboards.
