Overview
Administrators can increase the authentication timeout interval in Officer Mobile by contacting their Customer Success Manager (CSM). Once logged in, Officers will not have to log back in for the duration of the authentication timeout interval, up to 8hrs.
What is the Authentication Timeout Feature
Once an Officer logs into the Officer Mobile application, they will receive an authenticated session that is valid for as long as the authentication timeout interval. Officers can do the following functions during the interval duration:
- Close and reopen the Officer Mobile application.
- Turn the application off and on.
- Move between Wi-Fi and cellular networks without having to log back in.
Default and Maximum Values
By default, the authentication timeout interval will be set to 60 minutes with a maximum of 480 minutes.
Important Information
- Customers interested in setting up the Authentication Timeout feature must first sign a legal addendum.
- The authentication timeout interval will apply only to the Officer Mobile application and will not affect the Windows Dispatch application or other Core/Service sessions not initiated by Officer Mobile.
