Overview

Dispatch users are individuals who access the Dispatch application through the Command Center. To grant access, each Dispatch user must have a Dispatch user account and an associated Person object created in the system.

User Account Requirements

The user account you use to log into Resolver must have Administrator or the User Management or Settings Management advanced permissions to create a new user. If you are an advanced permissions user, please refer to the Create a New User as an Advanced Permissions User article.

Navigation

1. From the Home screen, click the Administration icon.

2. From the Administrator settings menu, click the User Management link.

3. From the User Management screen, click the Create User button.

Creating a Dispatch User

1. Follow the steps to create a new user.
2. Follow the steps to add the user to the Dispatch Users user group.

Note: Users who are logged in at the time they’re added to a user group will need to log out then log back in before the changes are applied.

3. From the Home screen, click the Home dropdown menu.

4. Click the Library link.

5. From the People tab, click the Create Person button.

6. In First Name field, enter the user's first name.

7. In Last Name field, enter the user's last name.

8. In the Dispatch User field, begin typing the user's name then select it from the list. If the user isn't appearing in the results, ensure they've been added to the Dispatch Users group by following the instructions in the Assigning a User to a User Group Through the User Profile article.

9. Complete other additional fields as required.

10. Click the Create button to save the Person object.

After the Command Center user account and Person object is created, a Dispatch Administrator will need to complete additional configurations, but note that it may take 10 minutes or more before the user appears in Dispatch. Please see the Configure a New Dispatch User article for more information.
