| Adding Inferred Permissions on an Object Type |
Overview
Inferred permissions give users with explicit permissions access to object types through relationships and references without directly granting permission through the role field on a configurable form.
User Account Requirements
The user must have Administrator permissions in order to access the Admin Overview section.
Navigation
- From the Home screen, click the Administration icon.

- From the Administrator Settings menu, click Admin Overview.

- From the Admin Overview screen, click the Object Types tile under the Data Model section.

- From the Admin: Object Types screen, enter an Object Type Name in the Search field to narrow the search results list.

- Click on an Object Type link.

Adding Inferred Permissions on an Object Type
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the Role tab.

- Add a Role to the Object Type. Refer to the Add Roles to an Object Type article for further information on adding a Role to an Object Type.
- Once a Role is added to the Object Type, click the Role.

- From the Edit Role Permissions pop-up, click on the Object Type's Monogram, expanding the Navigation tree, revealing relationships and references saved to the Object Type.

- Click on a Reference or Relationship to display the associated Object Types (e.g., clicking Activity will expand the tree to reveal the Activity Object Type).
Reference or Relationship
- Click an Object Type, placing a checkmark next to it, granting Inferred Permissions to that Object Type. Object Types will have a Monogram next to it.

- Click the Update button.

- From the Change Role Permissions? pop-up, click the Change Permissions button to add the Inferred Permission to the Object Type.
