Creating a Portal Agent Portal URL

Overview

An Administrator must create a Portal URL with the Portal Agent feature enabled before you can allow external and occasional stakeholders access to the Anonymous Portal.

An Administrator must create a non-administrative user account for the login, and assign it to a role with access to the appropriate object type(s) and activity before they can create a Portal Agent Portal URL.


User Account Requirements

The user account you use to log into Resolver must have Administrator permissions.

Navigation

  1. From the Home screen, click the Administration icon.

  1. From the Administrator settings menu, click the Admin Overview link.

  1. From the Admin Overview screen, click the Portal URL Settings tile under the Communications section.

  1. From the Admin: Portal URL Settings screen, click the Create Portal URL button.

Creating a Portal Agent Portal URL

  1. From the Portal URL Settings: Create Portal URL screen, click the Enable Portal URL toggle switch to disable users from accessing the Portal URL.

Note:
Disabling the Portal URL will invalidate the Login URL link. Enabling the Portal URL will reactivate the Login URL link again.

  1. Enter a name for the Portal in the Name field.

  1. (Optional): Enter a Portal description in the Description field.

  1. From the Type dropdown menu, select Form.

  1. From the Object Type dropdown menu, select the object type that the Portal Agent form is connected to (for example, Incident).

  1. From the Form dropdown menu, select the Portal Agent form.

  1.  From the User dropdown menu, select the Portal URL user that has been given the Portal Agent role.

  1. (Optional): Click the Enable IP Authorization Control toggle switch to turn it on to restrict who can access this URL (based on the entries in the IP allow list). The toggle switch will be greyed out if IP authorization control is not enabled for the Org. For more information, please refer to the IP Authorization Control article.

  1. Click the Create button.

  1. The Login URL field will appear with the Portal login URL. Click the Copy icon to copy the login URL.
